Who we are
Let’s Touch Base is made by DePalo Consulting [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [ADDRESS] (“we”, “us”). If you have a question about privacy, email [PRIVACY EMAIL].
What we collect
Almost nothing, and nothing about you. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics or crash-reporting tools, and no tracking across apps or websites. The only thing the app sends to us is a meeting ID request, described under Playing on phones: a local network address, not a person.
If you choose to share crash or usage data with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may pass us anonymous diagnostics under Apple’s privacy policy. We use these only to fix bugs.
What stays on your iPhone
To work, the app saves a few things in its own storage on your device. They never leave it unless you share them yourself.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Settings: tone, timer, team count, solo or teams | So the next game starts the way you left it |
| Team names | So a rematch doesn’t ask for them again |
| Your question packs and events | So you can reuse them |
| Recently played questions | So the same questions don’t come back too soon |
| Rendered artwork cache | So screens load faster |
Deleting the app deletes all of it. If you share a question pack (for example by AirDrop or email), the file goes where you send it, under that service’s terms.
Documents and on-device AI
If you import a document or describe an idea to generate questions, the text is read on your iPhone and processed by Apple’s on-device language model (Apple Intelligence). It is not uploaded to us. The app keeps only the questions you choose to save. This feature needs an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence; Apple’s own handling is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
Please don’t import documents you aren’t allowed to use, and review generated questions before you play them.
Playing on phones and meeting IDs
With Play on phones, the host iPhone runs the game on your local network (Wi-Fi or Personal Hotspot). iOS asks the host for Local Network permission the first time. Players open the game in their browser; they don’t install anything.
- Meeting IDs. To give players a short 4-digit meeting ID, the host iPhone sends letstouchbase.app its private address on your network (for example 192.168.1.35), the game’s port, and a random secret. We keep the code, that address and a scrambled (hashed) copy of the secret for up to six hours, and delete them as soon as the host leaves the game screen. Private addresses only work inside your own network, so they can’t be used to reach anyone.
- Joining. A player who types a meeting ID or scans the code asks letstouchbase.app for it and is sent on to the host iPhone. Like any website, it sees the request’s IP address; we use that only to limit how fast codes can be tried, and an address that keeps guessing is blocked for about a minute. We don’t keep a log of who joined.
- The game itself (names, answers, scores) goes only between the players’ browsers and the host iPhone, never through us. Names and answers are not saved after the game ends.
- The player’s browser stores one small random code so they can rejoin if their page reloads. It holds no personal information, and there are no cookies.
- No internet? The app skips the meeting ID and shows a QR code and local address instead, and nothing reaches us at all.
This website
This website and the meeting-ID service run on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser) to deliver and protect the site, under the Cloudflare privacy policy. [CONFIRM: we have not turned on Cloudflare Web Analytics.] This website uses no cookies, analytics or advertising.
If you email us, we use your name, email and message only to reply, and delete them within [N] months.
Children
The app is made for workplaces and is not directed at children under 13. Because it collects nothing about people, we hold no information about any player of any age.
Your choices and rights
You control everything the app stores: edit or delete packs and events in the app, or delete the app. You can turn off Local Network access any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network. If privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA give you rights over data we hold about you (for example an email you sent us), email [PRIVACY EMAIL] and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for meaningful changes, mention it in the app’s release notes. Questions: [PRIVACY EMAIL] · DePalo Consulting, [ADDRESS].
